Plants and Industries, whether be it Large, Medium or Small, need regular and routine maintenance. Few of the jobs are to be carried out on a daily basis, even few activities are carried out in every shift or even 2-3 times in shifts. These jobs are to be either carried out on equipment itself like screen cleaning, chute cleaning or cleaning and maintenance in conveyor belts, etc.

As electrical motors are prime movers (in most cases), to avoid accidental starting of the equipment while the job is in progress, it is important to isolate power before the job. Frequent power cutting and getting is cumbersome and time taking, but without doing that, it is hazardous for the person carrying out the job.
